Brecon Jazz 2009 went ahead despite the difficulties and according to most of the people I've spoken to was a great success. Smaller than previous years, the feel was more intimate, there was virtually no trouble and people are already looking at what worked and planning for a better experience than ever next year. With 12 months to plan next year's event instead of 3, it should be possible to have a real ball in 2010.

Don't forget to also keep an eye on the Brecon Fringe - a great success this year with mostly free gigs from local bands, a few bigger names and even some jazz in pubs and small venues around town.

The Grange is already fully booked for Brecon Jazz 2010 but we keep a waiting list for rooms to fill any cancellations so feel free to drop us an email to go on the list. We have always kept our prices the same in the jazz as throughout the year and we will continue to do that, however please be aware that we only let room for the full 3 nights of the festival (or longer) so that we can have some time off to enjoy the event as well!! Finding accommodation in Brecon for Jazz is difficult but you could consider camping in one of the sites which spring up for the festival - book through the Brecon tourist info centre. Alternatively try a B+B in a village nearby.
